TEC RELEASES OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “DEAD BOY” FT. OMB PEEZYTEC’S ALBUM, WEB THE WORLD, IS OUT N

Fresh off the release of his Web The World album, Baton Rouge rap star TEC releases the official music video for “Dead Boy” featuring OMB Peezy. Directed by BCPBRANDON, the “Dead Boy” video is the latest visual to come out in support of TEC’s new album. The video captures a meeting between TEC and OMB Peezy as they call shots from a lavish Atlanta mansion. Web The World was released on October 29th and includes features from Boosie BadAzz, Too $hort, Jackboy and more. In recent months, TEC set the stage for the project with music videos for the singles “Purple Baby Champion,” “Part of Me” and the title track “Web The World.” Following its release last month, the album itself earned support from prominent media including XXL, Vibe and HotNewHipHop, with TEC capitalizing on the momentum by delivering a viral From The Block performance on 4 Shooters Only. For more than a decade, TEC has played a critical role in shaping the sound of Baton Rouge by creating the visceral, pain-soaked anthems that have become synonymous with the city. Now at 27 years old, he’s gained a massive, cult-like following and built his Spider Nation into a globally recognized brand. TEC first gained notoriety as a teenager, pushing his music to local DJs and performing at teen club nights in Baton Rouge, which caught the attention of Master P who signed TEC to No Limit Records. The early success was ultimately derailed by legal troubles but upon his release from a three year sentence, TEC flooded YouTube with new music and propelled himself back into the spotlight alongside his close friend Maine Musik. Music videos for tracks like “Thru The Storm, “My Spider,” and “Go Crazy” surpassed 20 million views apiece and caught the attention of many of rap music’s biggest platforms including Say Cheese TV, WorldStarHipHop and Vlad TV, whose audiences were captivated by TEC’s magnetic energy and seemingly endless flow of new music. Also known as the “poetic activist,” TEC’s knack for balancing hard-hitting records with wisdom about life and street consequences has helped him bridge the gap between generations, earning cosigns from Baton Rouge OGs like Boosie and Kevin Gates, while capturing the hearts of the wild younger generation. Recent collaborations include tracks with Rylo Rodriguez, Yung Bleu, MoneyMan and HoneyKomb Brazy. Over the years, TEC’s musical output has remained prolific, releasing more than a dozen solo projects and pulling in new fans with his acclaimed Web Life mixtape trilogy. Earlier this year, TEC partnered with EMPIRE for the release of his Year of the Spider project and he’s continuing to cast a wider web with more collaborations and new music on the way.
