Little Simz, born Simbi Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, is a British rapper, singer, and actress. She is best known for her critically acclaimed albums A Furious Tale of Trials + Persons, Stillness in Wonderland, Grey Area, and Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. She has won several awards for her music, including the Mercury Prize, Ivor Novello Award, NME Award, Brit Award for Best New Artist, and Libera Award for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Record. Little Simz was born in London to Nigerian parents and raised on a council estate. She attended Highbury Fields School and St Mary's Youth Club, where she developed her musical abilities. She later studied at Westminster Kingsway College and the University of West London, where she pursued her music career.

At the beginning of the impactful short film "No Thank You," Little Simz presents a powerful message through her music and visuals. Directed by Gabriel Moses, the film uses five tracks from the recently released album and a series of black and white shots, starring the rapper herself and a group of performers. Simbiatu Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, aka Little Simz, aims to challenge and reject the common myths and limited representations of strong women, particularly women of color, in the art industry. The film explores the pain, complexity, and wounds that lie beneath the surface, showcased through striking images and emotional performances. The final scene mirrors the honesty and raw emotion of the artist, as the singer gazes into a reflection of herself, while the audience stands in awe of her bravery. The roles are reversed, as the performer is petrified in front of her own image, while the audience applauds her courage and authenticity. Little Simz's "No Thank You" is a testament to the depth of human emotions and a call to challenge the norms and limitations imposed upon women of color in the art world. The video also conveys the message that people should refuse gifts from those they don't like or respect, as this will make them uncomfortable and eventually they will stop giving gifts. This message is conveyed through the visuals and lyrics in the video. "No Thank You" is a powerful and thought-provoking track that reflects Little Simz's personal beliefs and experiences. The video serves as a visual representation of the song and offers a deeper insight into the meaning behind the lyrics.
