LIL BEAN RELEASES NEW ALBUM WAITED MY TURN+ VIDEO FOR LEAD SINGLE “WHAT’S LUV” FEAT. 24KGOLDN

(August 26th, 2022) Lil Bean’s album, Waited My Turn, is out today via EMPIRE. Proving why he’s become one of San Francisco’s most loved new artists, the 12-track project finds Lil Bean warmly rapping his most profound bars over melodic production from Hudsonmadeit, Eazy, Foreign, ReeceBeats and more. The title, Waited My Turn, draws inspiration from Lil Bean’s pure determination as he has kept his head down and single handedly built a movement around his music. The album is led by the single “What’s Luv,” which features fellow SF native and chart-topping star 24kGoldn. The Jay Pusha-directed music video for the track was also released today. Other standouts from the album include “Judas,” “Talk To Em” and “Spazzin,” which were released with official videos throughout the summer. Lil Bean has had an eventful year so far which started with the release of his album, forever grateful, and a sold-out tour alongside 24kGoldn. Earlier this month, Lil Bean announced that he will be hitting the road again in September for a tour in support of the album alongside ZayBang and Lil Pete. Watch the video for “What’s Luv” here and listen to the album here.

Anointed as a leader for San Francisco’s new generation, very few artists are able to cultivate the kind of homegrown fan base that Lil Bean has amassed in the past few years. Hailed by The San Francisco Chronicle as “a prolific creator who fluidly stitches tales from the streets,” Lil Bean has quickly risen through the ranks of California's competitive music scene to become one of the most recognizable faces in his city. Growing up in San Francisco’s Geneva Towers housing project, a music career wasn’t always the obvious choice for Lil Bean who pursued basketball as his first passion, but after losing his father at an early age he chose to stay in the city and make a way for his family. From his very first independent mixtape, NastyCampaign, which was released in 2019, Lil Bean’s starpower was apparent. Early singles, “Side Of Me, “Down 2 Ride” and “Swervin,” embodied Lil Bean’s effortless confidence and quickly became regional hits with millions of streams. Lil Bean continued to apply pressure with a stream of new music as he released six projects throughout 2019 and 2020. He quickly caught the attention of the west coast’s most respected artists, leading to collaborations with E-40, SOBxRBE, Shoreline Mafia, Sage the Gemini, Larry June and ShooterGang Kony, to name a few. 2021 proved to be a breakout year with Grammy award-winning producer, Zaytoven, tapping Lil Bean to feature on nearly every track on his mixtape, Zaytoven Presents: Fo15, which was a collaborative effort to highlight The Bay's hottest artists. Lil Bean’s 2021 album, Still Campaignin’, made waves on a national level with prominent media including Pitchfork, HotNewHipHop, Vibe and Apple Music's The Plug Radio all offering their praise. Passion Of The Weiss wrote, “Bean’s sense of melody is finely manicured and belies his youth in the game. He finds a way to control tides and float throughout Still Campaignin’ without sacrificing the project’s discipline or wasting any time.” Throughout his rise in popularity, Lil Bean maintained his humble, soft-spoken demeanor and kept his head down as he continued to work to better himself and those around him. He kept his close friend and collaborator, ZayBang, by his side with features on almost every one of his projects. The 2022 album, forever grateful, was a testament to Lil Bean’s appreciation for how far he has come and it was spotlighted as some of the best new music by The Fader, Pitchfork and Lyrical Lemonade. As Lil Bean sets his sights on the next career milestones, he remains relentless in his work ethic as he stays in the studio and waits for his turn to blow up even bigger.
