KID TRUNKS RELEASES VIDEO FOR “IDKWGO” FT. MIKEY MORE FROM HIS RECENTLY RELEASED DEBUT ALBUM, MOON

July 13th, 2020 — Kid Trunks releases his Pulp Fiction-inspired music video for “IDKWGO,” featuring buzzing Broward County lyricist Mikey More. Co-directed by Kid Trunks and frequent collaborator WINCHOZ, the video draws inspiration from the most memorable scenes in Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 classic film. The song’s sleek, retro instrumental is produced by Bijan Amir and offers the perfect soundtrack for the night’s events. “IDKWGO,” an acronym for “I don’t know what’s going on,” is a fan-favorite from Kid Trunks’ debut album, Moon, which released June 25th via EMPIRE. Watch the video for “IDKWGO” here and listen to Moon here.

More than two years in the making, Moon released last month and solidified Kid Trunks as one of Florida’s most dynamic and versatile young artists. The 17-track project is a genre-spanning collection of songs that narrate Kid Trunks’ self-realizing journey through formidable and profoundly trying moments, including the loss of his best friend and his own battles with depression and anxiety. “I hope this project can aid or cure any depression or negative energy in your life,” Kid Trunks says, and by revealing his pain, love, and emotions he hopes listeners will feel less alone. Featuring collaborations with Travis Barker, Noah Cyrus, Bass Santana, John Cunningham and more, Moon has already racked up more than three million streams. Last week, Kid Trunks took to social media to announce that a deluxe version of the album is on the way. At 19 years old, Kid Trunks has experienced pain and hardship far beyond most people his age. “I go through a lot of depression and suffer from a lot of anxiety,” Kid Trunks openly shares. “I know there are millions of kids that can relate to me. Why not be a good human and channel the pain that we all go through into music, so that it can bring us all together and even better, heal us all together.” Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam but raised between Broward County, Florida and Boston, Massachusetts, Kid Trunks played a pivotal role in the emergence of underground rap out of South Florida. At 15 years old, Kid Trunks was welcomed into the rising music collective, Members Only, where he had a front row seat to the meteoric rise of his close friends XXXTentacion and Ski Mask the Slump God. Collectively they released several albums as Members Only, including the most recent Members Only, Vol. 4, which debuted at number 18 on the US Billboard 200 chart. While Kid Trunks is best known for hard-hitting tracks like “IDK” and “Gassed Up!,” which together have racked up over 70 million streams, he has been pushing himself into new sonic territory. On his first studio album he diverges from his expected sound to deliver a more experimental and intimate project that’s reflective of his personal growth and the realization of his early influences. With more new visuals to be released in the coming weeks, Kid Trunks is determined to carve out his own lane and deliver meaningful art that can help fans heal and grow.
